Order for mini cupcakes for breast cancer tea party

These mini cupcake soaps are scented in Peony and sprinkled with sparkle dust and pink sugar pearls. These are part of an order for a tea party. Such a cute favor for a great cause.  And thinking of ways to help others I had mentioned to my husband Duane that we should donate soap to a food bank for those in need of supplies. Everyone needs soap. So that will be on the agenda for next week. If everyone offered help to others, there wouldn't be anyone in need (in my opinion). Whether it is money, your time, providing a service for someone- the smallest kindness makes a big impact. Let's turn our back on being greedy and selfish and start giving and loving our neighbors in need like Jesus told us to do!

New website for Hedgeway Cottage Soaps

I am in the process of making a new website that will help you with  viewing what I have to offer for soap favors, etc. Right now it's pretty basic with pictures from my camera. I will be having updated pictures of the soaps on there soon along with a store page. But in the meantime, I have published what I've done so far. The website is hedgewaycottagesoaps.net so check it out.

WRONG PHONE NUMBER

I am sooo sorry! I just realized after all this time that we have the wrong area code for our phone # on our business cards. I can not believe that I have not noticed this mistake. The correct number is 248-525-4863 or you can call 586-770-2524. I wonder how much business I have lost because of this mistake. This is a good lesson. Double check everything-even the littlest details.
JASMIN MOISTURIZING BATH BOMBS IN ROUND OR HEART

In the meantime, I have been working on bathbombs. Customers have been asking and we will be delivering. If you have a favorite scent that you would like to have in a bath bomb or bath salts or sugar scrub just let me know and send me an email.

Wonderful People

We had such a great time at Frontier Town in Romeo for the Peach Festival for Labor Day weekend. The weather was not very cooperative being too hot on Saturday, rainy on Sunday, and chilly with drizzly rain on Monday but we met the nicest people. The other vendors that were there were such wonderful people too.We were asked a lot of questions about shower favors and fundraiser events. I just finished making an assortment of 110 cupcakes for an event. They look awesome. I'll post picks when they are "all dressed up". I had someone e-mail me for info about favors because my etsy site  is very vague on what I offer. I just want everyone to know that I'm working on a website that will have a more detailed and complete list with  pictures for favors so you can  get a better understanding of what we can offer you( options, extras, % off party orders, etc.). But in the meantime, if anyone wants to inquire about soap favors for parties, please e-mail me at hedgewaycottagesoaps@yahoo.com or call 586-525-4863 (leave a message) and I will get back to you asap. Please remember that I need 3 to 4 weeks   to make them (it takes them that long to cure) plus package them for you.I really enjoyed meeting all you wonderful people!!! Until the next post, God bless and take care.

These are the soaps I have been working on for a wedding shower. They are lightly scented in vanilla. They wanted mauve and cream colors. It took me two days to get the color right. I sprinkled them with irridencent glitter and light pink sugar pearls. They are very pretty.

I will be adding more sparkle to these.

This is how they wanted them packaged. The customer will be adding their own tag. I think they are very beautiful!

Who wouldn't want one of these for a shower gift?

This is raspberry lemonade cake. The fragrance siezed up the soap(what a pain) and I had to make a separate batch in just lemon scent to pipe on top.

They're so shabby chic looking!

raspberry lemonade cupcakes. I sprinkled these with sparkle and pink sugar crystals. My sons say the smell makes them thirsty for lemonade.

Black cherry soap cake smells just like black cherry. It came out awesome. This scent siezed the soap also. I did not have a good night last night.

Lavender cubes for those who want to purchase a smaller bar without the sparkles

regular slice lavender without the sparkles

So, that is what I've been working on so far. The soaps ready for the market coming up is Patchouli ( my daughter is packaging them and she hates the smell and says she can't wait to get them out of her house.lol), couch potato man soap( I won't say who I named that after.lol), eucalyptus soap, peppermint soap, and I can't remember what other ones. So come to the markets and see what we have for you! Have a great day!!!

Lilac cake and cupcake soaps, applejack and more

This is the Sweet Lilac cake soap. It turned out so amazing, so delicate. I just love it!

Peppermint soap made with peppermint essential oil is so energizing! The smell is wonderful and I think this one will sell fast.I wanted to make peppermint & lemon for my friend Tammy (it's her favorite scent-she's so sassy) but I ran out of lemon. I will make it as soon as it comes in.

These little mini mouth-watering cupcakes smell of chocolate mint! I will have to put a non-edible sign on these.

Apple Jack & Orange is going to be ready for fall. You know it's everyone's favorite. Fall is my favorite time of year. Cozy sweatshirts, cool breezy walks, and warm tea or coffee by the fire.Yes, and hot chocolate too!

This is straight up PATCHOULI made with organic patchouli essential oil. It smells a little different from the spicy patchouli everyone is used to. You know what they say- You either love it or hate it.I also made it in soap balls.

Sweet Lilac cupcakes should be in a victorian tea room. I can't say enough. Look for yourself. Picture these at a shower! I would be so happy to get one.

This is the mini version of sweet lilac. Sooo sweeet.

The shelves are filling up. I hope I can keep up!lol

This most beautiful soap cake is made with Sandalwood. This has got to be the most romantic scent. I can't stop smelling it.

Side view of the Sandalwood cake slice

Citrus Balsam. I made it more beautiful than before and in a smaller bar for those who don't want to spend the money for the larger Forest Fairy or the cake slice.

Lavender cupcake. I love the flower on top. Smells wonderful and made with lavender essential oil- the real stuff.

So that's what I've been working on so far. I've got a lot to do. I have a wedding shower I'm working on and I'll post pics when I'm finished. We have doubled up on the farmers markets on the weekends. My  Mr. Happypants will be doing Gross Point, MI on Saturdays and Clawson on Sundays. My daughter and I will be doing Shelby Township on Saturdays and Warren on Sundays. My husband and I also do  Howarth, Auburn Hills on Weds., Oxford on Thurs., and Allen Park on Fridays. We will also be at Frontier town in Romeo for the Peach festival. My soaps are also for sale at the Village Trading Post at Frontier  Town  in Romeo.See you at the markets. Mention this post and receive 20% off.

More cupcakes and a cake

I had a fun time making the above soap cake which is scented with chocolate indulgence fragrance oil and peppermint essential oil. It smells just like a peppermint patty. And these cute blue cupcakes are scented with lilac fragrance oil and the ducks are from Michaels. I was planning on using them for mini cupcakes but they're too big for the mini ones. Really cute for the baby shower!
This heat is so unbearable! I'm not doing any farmers markets until it cools down. I don't know anyone in their right mind that would even shop at one in this heat. But that gives me more time to get a lot done. My sister just highlighted my hair and I hope it comes out  o.k.. 15 more min. till I have to rinse my head. I went to the Christmas Store today to get some things for my table display at the farmers markets and I bought some silicone round cake molds for the soap cakes, then I went to Michaels and bought papers and embellishments for packaging the soaps.Gotta go rinse my hair. Talk with you soon!

New additions and what to do!

Oatmeal & Honey facial bar (requested by a salon in Lapeer. It smells amazing!
I made a full size bar of Cranberry fig and piped it on top. It looks like a twice baked potato lol! Still smells wonderful!

This bar is Vanilla Sandalwood.  It's not the prettiest bar but the scent is intoxicating!

This is Mud Pie Tootsie Toe soap. I forgot what scent I put in it but it has a whole lot of scrubby stuff to exfoliate the most calloused feet!

Grapefruit Jasmin cupcake soap looks so sweet with a fabric rose on top and makes a perfect "just because" gift.

This is a mini version of the above cupcake soap except it is topped with a soap heart.  Sooo cute!!

This soap was supposed to be blue & green but because I made this a guy soap with an Axe (Phoenix) scent, it decided to trick me and turn a pinkish purple & green. But the scent is so sexy!

More LILAC!!! Such a romantic scent.

Grapefruit Jasmin slice soap is soo pretty. I have to think of special packaging for this one.

This soap is so light and airy and made with beer which is so good for you "don'tcha know". No added scent but has it's own mild yeasty smell.

Two days of packaging till 2am while Mr. Happypants snores so sweetly on the couch. I never feel lonely with that sound.

Luscious Lavender looks so beautiful. I am soo pleased with it. Made with real lavender essential oil, it smells so nice.

I named this soap Forest Fairy because it was so pretty and the scent name that I used just wasn't special enough. It's scented with everyone's favorite Citrus Balsam!

Moonlit path has a strong ozone-floral scent (at least I think so) it's hard to describe. Awesome lather!

I love the look of this orangeberry cream soap! The scent is very soft, not strong (which I heard a customer say that the soap was all about the look and not the scent) and I kept sniffing it and was considering re-cooking it and adding more scent but decided against it. Not everyone likes a really strong scent and this scent goes with it's soft look.

Here are the soaps  that are displayed for shower or wedding favors. They are sooo pretty. This picture is from the Gross Point Farmers Market.

Orange Creamsicle smells just like the frosty icecream. I love the scent. A very big bar.
Goatsmilk and Honey facial soap smells like a baked cookie. Such a thick lather, so silky.
So that's what I have curing right now. Some will be ready now, some in a couple weeks. I have some I didn't get a chance to take pics of. The forest fairy also comes in cake slices. Well, I'm headed to my work space to make some more awesome soaps for you. Let me know what your favorite soap is and I'll try to make it for you.I'm having a dilemma trying to figure out how to do 2 farmers markets on the same day on Saturdays and Sundays . I believe I'm going to need help. Have a great day!
