I had said in a previous post on the Hedgeway Cottage site that I would give the recipe and pictures for the sugar scrubs. The recipe I came across was to use one part oils/butters, 2 parts cp soap, 3 parts sugar. I used 1/2 cup shea butter, 1/2 cup apricot kernel oil, 2 cups chopped unscented cp soap, and 3 cups of sugar. I have to tell you that it was not fun getting them to come out of the mold without crumbling. The mixture would hold together when squeezed in your hand, but would also easily fall apart. After they sit awhile, they're fine and they're pretty sturdy. Maybe if I had used different oils or butters, they might have had a more sturdy texture. I had previously made the strawberry ones. These pics are of the lime sugar scrubs. Next will be orange. I am going to package them as a mixture of summer fruit scrubs. They're going to look so good packaged!
